Extended Single Crochet Stitch

SKILL LEVEL Very Easy/Beginner

MULTIPLES Any number of chains

PROJECT IDEAS Blankets, scarves, hats, garments.

The extended single crochet stitch is a gorgeous and easy variation of the single crochet. It gives a bit of a twist to the classic single crochet. Not only that, but gives you a way to expand your skills as a crochet artist. This little change in how to make the regular single crochet gives it a whole new look as well.

Because the extended single crochet stitch lends itself to many different styles of patterns, the possibilities are endless. Although, I have linked some different patterns here that use this stitch, I encourage you to try creating your own project. So, here is your chance to start with trying something small like a hat or scarf.
