Half Double Crochet v-Stitch

SKILL LEVEL Easy/Beginner or Advanced Beginner

MULTIPLES Any multiple of 2 or even number

PROJECT IDEAS Blanket, shawl, hat, scarf

The Half Double Crochet V-Stitch is like the double crochet v-stich. It is a simple repeat of a HDC, ch 1, HDC in the same stitch, working across the fabric. This stitch has variations that change the texture a bit. Simply leave out the chain one between the HDC stitches and you get a slightly denser fabric which works up great in dishcloths and pot holders. Leave the chain one between the HDCs and you get a slightly lacier fabric that is great for a lightweight blanket.

Half Double Crochet V-Stitch (HDC V)

(HDC, ch 1 HDC) in the same stitch. Skip 2 and repeat

Another variation would be to make ( HDC, HDC) in same stitch and skip 1 stitch then repeat.
