Rope or Classic DC V-Stitch

SKILL LEVEL Easy/ Beginner or Advanced Beginner

MULTIPLES Multiples of 3 + 2 plus 1

PROJECT IDEAS Blankets, garments, scarves

The Rope or Classic DC V-Stitch is a great stitch for beginners to use. It gives a lacy appearance, which makes a light weight fabric. It works up quickly, making it a great one for larger projects like blankets. This stitch is also great to use for shawls and scarves. Because of the lacy fabric it creates, light weight summer wear are also ideal for this stitch. Using a smaller hook, will create a denser fabric, making it versatile and great for smaller projects like dish clothes and pot holders. It is simply made of double crochet stitches and chains.

MY FAVORITE PATTERNS USING THE ROpe or CLASSIC DC V-STITCH

There are some great patterns using this stitch. This stitch makes adds great texture to any project when used by itself. But, it is easy to combine it with other stitches and use as alternating rows as well. Although, I have linked some different patterns here that use this stitch, I encourage you to try creating your own project. So, here is your chance to start with trying something small like a hat or scarf.
