The Woven Stitch

SKILL LEVEL Easy or Advanced Beginner

MULTIPLES Any number of chains

PROJECT IDEAS Blanket, pot holders, dish clothes, hats

Rather than being made up of standard crochet stitches, the woven stitch combines different stitch motions to create its texture. This stitch has great drape, which makes it a great stitch for blankest, hats, and scarves. Again, pair this crochet woven stitch with any of your favorite yarns and it’ll look great. It’s a very versatile stitch in that way but it’s beautiful texture is best showcased when paired with a smooth or lightly textured yarn.

MY FAVORITE PROJECTS USING THE WOVEN STITCH

Because the woven stitch lends itself to many different styles of patterns, the possibilities are endless. Although, I have linked some different patterns here that use this stitch, I encourage you to try creating your own project. So, here is your chance to start with trying something small like a dish cloth or scarf.
