Even Moss Stitch
SKILL LEVEL Easy/ Beginner or Advanced Beginner
MULTIPLES Any even number chains
PROJECT IDEAS Hat, blanket, scarf, potholder, dishcloth
The Even Moss Stitch is a great beginner stitch that creates a dense fabric and adds a bit of texture. The slip stitch creates a n unique look to the fabric as it crosses downward. The rows of this stitch fit together without gaps. In addition, when the stitches are oriented correctly, they create an amazing 3D look. It is great to use for potholders, hats, and scarves as wells as larger projects like baby afghans.
