PROJECT IDEAS Blanket, hat, pot holder, dish clothe

As we continue adding stitches to the library, the next stitch uses Double Crochet. The Double Crochet Cluster Stitch is actually easy to learn, especially if you’ve mastered the basic stitches of Single Crochet and Half Double Crochet Cluster. The double crochet cluster stitch (dc2tog) is another great stitch that creates a dense fabric. It is also a great one to use with other stitches to create even more texture to a project. And once you get going, this stitch will fly off your hook.

The Double Crochet Cluster Stitch, also known as the dc2tog, is a great stitch to use to make lots of projects that need height as well as a denser fabric. It works great for afghans, blankets, pot holders, hats, ear warmers, and so much more. This stitch is quick to work up as well. Do not be afraid to try this stitch on your own, for example a dishcloth is a great project to try.
