EAsy Seashore by moonlight stitch: The crystal wave stitch

The stitch used in this blanket is called the crystal waves stitch. Actually, I found this stitch while searching for something new to try. This beautiful stitch is another stitch that uses simple basic stitches of double crochet, chains, and a front post single crochet. In addition to the sideways look of the grouped double crochet stitches, the Front Post sc helps to create the unique texture of this stitch. It also gives the blanket a look of waves of water.

The yarn: Mandala Ombre’ in Mantra

As soon as I saw the mandala ombre’ yarn by Lion Brand in the color Mantra,I knew it was the perfect yarn. Because it is made with a combination of beautiful blues and greens, it reminded me of tropical waters. Therefore, I felt the colors in the yarn were the perfect touch to go with the crystal waves stitch. Hence the combination of the stitch and the yarn did not disappoint at all! Hence, the Easy Seashore by Moonlight Baby Blanket came to be.

Not only is this blanket full of beautiful texture and soft, but the stitch and yarn also created a beautiful draped fabric that is warm and cozy as well. In fact, I will definitely be using this pattern again in the future.

The free pattern for this baby blanket is below. However, if you prefer, an ad free PDF can be found here at my Esty shop.
