Sedge Stitch Farmhouse towel Set
Everyone is talking about the sedge stitch! It is a very beginner friendly stitch because it uses three of the basic stitches in one space. This creates a beautiful texture that is not only eye appealing, but easy to use with multiple colors of yarn. I used this stitch to create this beautiful sedge stitch farmhouse towel set.
Not only is the sedge stitch popular in the crochet world, but farmhouse home decor is ever growing in popularity among the public. Put the two together and you have the sedge stitch farmhouse towel set, perfect for your farmhouse kitchen!
Tea towels and dish clothes are so quick and easy to make and add a beautiful handmade touch to your space. Together with the easy sedge stitch, these are great projects for any beginner. The dish clothe is thick and textured, which makes them easy to wipe up any mess with.
Cotton yarn is by far the best yarn choice to create these beautiful towels and dish clothes. Cotton is absorbent and then dries very quickly. I used Caron Cotton Flannel Cakes in calm skies and cumulus. The yarn had it’s own texture and then the added texture of the sedge stitch really gives these towels a wonderful look. If farmhouse style is not for you, these towels look great in many other colors, which makes them versatile for any home.
