This is a great “go-to” stitch for so many different projects.  Not only does the blanket stitch create a dense fabric, it also makes great scarves, hats, or washcloths. The stitch uses the beginner friendly single crochet and double crochet stitches and it works up quickly and easily. The variation in height of the stitches give this stitch a beautiful texture that is great with many different kinds of yarns.
